Palin denies affair rumours

October 13th, 2008

The story, which appeared just hours before Mrs Palin was due to address the Republican convention today, was branded “scurrilous” by  McCain chief strategist Steve Schmidt, who said it was “a vicious lie”.

“The smearing of the Palin family must end,” he said.

“The allegations contained on the cover of the National Enquirer insinuating that Governor Palin had an extramarital affair are categorically false. It is a vicious lie. ”

“The efforts of the media and tabloids to destroy this fine and accomplished public servant are a disgrace. The American people will reject it.”

The affair allegations follow revelations earlier in the week  that Mrs Palin’s 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, is five months pregnant and plans to marry the child’s father, high-school ice-hockey player  Levi Johnston.

The notorious National Enquirer has a reputation for digging the dirt when it comes to politicians’ private lives.

It  reported that former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards was having an extramarital affair – and had a child with his lover – while his wife was ill with breast cancer.

The allegations were denied for months until the  magazine ran pictures of the pair meeting in a Los Angeles hotel.

Is Sara Palin Sexy?

My thoughts exactly. And Charlie Gibson is no partisan fire-breather like FOX News’ Bill O’Reilly. People know nothing about Palin and she’s being shielded from talking directly to the press by the Republicans. Raises a red flag or two. It makes me wonder is Sarah Palin sexy or the next Dan Quayle.

McCain should have chosen Mitt Romney.

IainGFoulds rexx1: If McCain had chosen Romney, he would be forgotten already. It is fair and reasonable to give Ms. Palin sexy time. She is more solidly principled than any of the other three candidates. defm IainGFouds: Being solidly principled is one way of putting it. Dumb as a bucket of bricks is another. I am a conservative with impeccable conservative credentials — in both academics and business. Sometimes you just have to admit your team has lost its way.

Before this election is over, defending Palin is going to cost a lot of conservatives their credibility.

IainGFoulds defm: I don’t know about your “credentials,” but I do know about your argument. It is rare for those who are “dumb as a bucket of bricks” to rise to the position of governor.

defm Just look at the symmetry: Obama picks a McCain look alike, and McCain picks a young, good-looking idealist. While Obama has acquired a father figure he can run to when things get nasty, Mc-Cain has picked a woman who will pick up a good segment of disillusioned Hillary Clinton supporters. Getting elected isn’t just about ideology and credentials; more important is the reality of numbers.

TCTheTiger defm: What does it say about Obama if he loses the spotlight to “a bucket of bricks”?

Nath_BC The issue is not Sarah Palin, but the judgement of John McCain. For months, McCain has been hammering Obama for his lack of experience, even though voters have clearly rejected this strategy (it got Hillary Clinton nowhere). Now he goes and picks the least sexy and most untested person in recent memory as his vice-president.

A vice-president must be someone who has been tested, so that if the president is ever incapacitated or killed the nation will have confidence in his successor. Sarah Palin has not been tested. In choosing her McCain showed poor judgement. He cannot be trusted, and anyways is not fit to be president at such an old age. He appears to be losing his bearings.

defm IainGFouds: Believe it or not, those who are “dumb as a bucket of bricks” routinely rise to the position of governor. It’s not uncommon at all, regardless of party. And anybody who believes the storybook fable explanation of creation certainly qualifies as dumb as a bucket of bricks.

Pictures of Sarah Palin

The University of Idaho is proud of its legacy of leaders, which includes Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, named by Sen. John McCain as his running mate in the 2008 presidential election. University of Idaho alumni are sizable in number, but remain a close-knit community. A large number of university alumni, such as pictures of Sarah Palin, have gone on to distinguish themselves in public service.

Sarah Palin ’87 is a rising star. She was featured in a Newsweek article about women in state government and interviewed on Charlie Rose’s national PBS program.

The youngest governor in Alaska’s history and the first born since statehood, Palin is a 1987 graduate of the University of Idaho.

Combining her curiosity with her love of pictures, she decided to pursue a degree in journalism. “I was always asking everyone the questions, and I still am today,” Palin says.

Palin first got into politics running for city council in Wasilla, Alaska. Palin says her youth was more of an issue to voters than her gender, but that didn’t stop her from running for mayor of Wasilla and winning when she was only 32.

“We accomplished a lot in the fastest growing area of the state, we reduced a bunch of taxes,” Palin says. “Our agenda worked.”

In early 2006, Palin sensed dissatisfaction with some of Alaska’s long-time political figures and decided to run for governor.

“Knowing that former Governor Frank Murkowski’s term was about to end, and seeing that it was the same old people wanting to run, I said to myself, ‘Let’s get way out there and take a stand for things that weren’t right and had to be changed.’”

As governor, Palin has two major goals: restoring Alaska’s picture after a series of political scandals and making the state less reliant on federal funding. “I feel like that is a reason that we are here – to show that we can be trustworthy, and we can run a clean government which will allow us to convince the rest of the nation that we are capable of being responsible resource developers to supply the U.S.”

With five offices located across Alaska, Palin is constantly traveling while trying to spend as much time as possible with her husband and four children.

Palin’s approval rating among voters hovers between 80 and 90 percent.

Sarah Palin denies swimsuit rumors

John McCain’s campaign team is threatening to sue America’s National Enquirer after the tabloid ran a story claiming vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has had an extramarital affair.

Although the National Enquirer is usually considered a trash tabloid in political circles, the publication has earned a degree of relevance after breaking news of the John Edwards affair.

The paper had insisted the Democratic candidate had a child with his lover while his wife was ill with breast cancer and eventually proved it with pictures of the pair meeting at an LA hotel.

“Following our John Edwards exclusives, our political reporting has obviously proven to be more detail-oriented than the McCain campaign’s vetting process,” the Enquirer said in a statement.

But Chief Republican Strategist Steve Schmidt said the new Palin report was “scurrilous” and completely untrue.

“The smearing of the Sarah Palin swimsuit must end. The allegations contained on the cover of the National Enquirer insinuating that Gov. Palin had an extramarital affair are categorically false. It is a vicious lie,” said Mr Schmidt.

“The efforts of the media and tabloids to destroy this fine and accomplished public servant are a disgrace.

“The American people will reject it.”

Sarah Palin’s Naked Truth

October 13th, 2008

Sarah Palin grew up in the small town of Wasilla, about 40 miles north of Anchorage. In 1982, she played on Wasilla High School’s state champion girls’ basketball team, picking up the nickname “Sarah Naked” for her intense playing style. After graduating from Wasilla High in 1982, Sarah Palin naked wore the crown of Miss Wasilla in 1984 and was the runner-up in the Miss Alaska contest. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Idaho in 1987. She also became a television sports reporter in Anchorage. An outdoors enthusiast, Palin is a lifetime member of the National Naked Association. She is an avid hunter, eats moose hamburger and rides snowmobiles. Palin eloped with her high school sweetheart, Todd Palin, on August 29, 1988, and helped run his family’s commercial fishing business. Palin and her husband have five children: Bristol (who is 17-years-old and expecting a baby), Willow, Piper, Track (who is in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Iraq on September 11, 2008) and Trig (who was born in April 2008 with Down syndrome). Palin entered politics in 1992, winning a seat on the Wasilla City Council by opposing tax hikes. Four years later, she was elected mayor of Wasilla by knocking off a three-term incumbent. As mayor, Palin cut property taxes and reduced spending. She also raised the city sales tax by a half a percent to build a popular sports complex and put more money into public safety. Mayor Palin also effectively used the system of congressional earmarks. She collected $26.9 million in such funding, according the independent watchdog group Taxpayers for Common Sense, including $15 million for a commuter rail project. Palin ran her first statewide campaign in 2002 in a bid for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor. She lost by fewer than 2,000 votes. Alaska Governor Frank Murkowski appointed Sarah Palin to chair the state’s Oil and Gas Conservation Commission in 2003. She resigned a year later in protest over what she perceived to be the “lack of ethics” of fellow Alaskan Republican leaders, including Republican Party Chair Randy Ruedrich. Palin made history on December 4, 2006, when she was sworn-in as the first woman and youngest governor of Alaska. She was also the state’s first governor who was born after Alaska achieved statehood in 1959.

The pics, comments and threats kept pouring in across the country for my column, Palin: McCain’s version of ‘Trust me,’ and I knew I’d struck a nerve. But then a couple readers told me how they’d heard about it: The column had been forwarded by Gov. Sarah Palin pics (allegedly) as part of their toddler tantrum on the mean ole media. And therefore I am deeply flattered. I would advise them read Anne Kornblut’s analysis of what’s fair game in elections. Good stuff, especially when you consider that the Hillary Clinton campaign pics dragged her personal pics through the mud. I am utterly sickened by the John McCain campaign’s contempt for the American people. No one expressed it better than spokeswoman Nicolle Wallace who declared on MSNBC that the American public doesn’t need Sarah Palin to answer questions. When Time editor Jay Carney, a friend of McCain’s, politely expressed incredulity that Palin would dodge questions from the press, Wallace shrieked, “Who cares!? Who cares? But I mean, like, from who, from you? Who cares? No offense. Who cares if she can talk to Time magazine?”

Sarah Palin Bikini Rifle Rumor

As a matter of fact, type “bikini rifle” (without quotes) into your preferred search engine, select the search mode corresponding to “image search” and tell me what pics you see. On google, the first one is the real palin rifle picture. And if you’re good sufficiently skilled at photoshop/gimp/… you can reproduce the Sarah Palin bikini image using a slightly modified (!) version of the wacky head (the hair can be deleted). Sarah’s bikini image has a sufficiently low size/resolution so people won’t detect the modification at the first glance (which, by the way, neither I did).

As like hillary this woman is has shown guts, skill and endurance, she made it to be the governor of Alaska. Maybe Obama should have made the decision between hillary and Sarah Palin photos, it was a smarter choice. Obama/clinton or Obama/Palin bettter choice for America. What exactly does Obama have going for him? Experience?–no, he has always been a flunky in his short political career. Change? LOL He went and kissed AIPACs ring like all the others, Brezinski is calling the shots AGAIN and Biden is a corrupt insider. Morals/values? LOL He is a racist, as is his wife (did you read her thesis from Princeton?), he believes in infanticide and he lies. He has lied about his voting record, his muslim upbringing and so much more (heard of larry sinclair?) WHAT A JOKE! Barack Obama is an example of your overlords trying to see just how much you will accept. And, obviously, some of you will accept ANYTHING. Sarah Palin is a good orator (when she has a prepared speech ONLY) but has not substance whatsoever.
What does she mean by “photos”? He has proposed nothing new but taxes.
You obama supporters should be vetting your own candidate. Try to find some truth you can stand behind because almost every word he utters is a lie.
I don’t care for mccain or Sarah Palin either. But you obama supporters are absolute hypocrites.
It is pathetic.
